Mount Jefferson is a mountain located on the Continental Divide between Fremont County of northeastern Idaho and Beaverhead County of southwestern Montana. Mount Jefferson is the highest point of the Centennial Mountains, whose crest runs along the Continental Divide and can be climbed using a class 2 route from the access road to neighboring Sawtell Peak.

On the southern and Western slopes of mount Jefferson to merge into hell roaring Creek, from there to Red Rock Creek, the river Red Rock river Beaverhead, R. Jefferson, Missouri in Mississippi and in the Gulf of Mexico. Browsers Spring, the source of Hell roaring Creek, on the Eastern flank of the mountain in Montana, is the absolute headwaters of the Missouri river. In the North-Eastern slope of the mountain. Jefferson drains into the South Fork of Duck Creek, thence to lake Henry On Henrys fork of the snake river, the Columbia river and the Pacific ocean.
